Free writing courses have taught me some of the most significant things I’ve learned about writing. They’ve assisted me with developing content for various platforms, email marketing, and learning how to put up a blog.

I’ve also spent money on writing classes. These have proven beneficial, but you are paying for the convenience of having all of your information in one location. This is something I appreciate. However, a lot of paid online information is available for free. You must seek it out.

That is why I always recommend taking a free writing course. They are excellent ways to learn new skills. They are free and allow you to network with other authors.

How does a free writing course benefit you?

First and foremost, online writing courses are free if you are a beginner or don’t have much budget for your writing education. It’s not difficult to get into one of these, and you have nothing to lose if it doesn’t work out.

Second, they frequently provide comprehensive information in one location. This saves you hours of research for different aspects of writing that you wish to learn. They can also assist you in learning something you didn’t realize you needed to know.

Third, the knowledge you gain from these courses accumulates over time. Typically, these courses focus on a single aspect of writing. You become a better writer as you expand your knowledge and learn different parts of your trade.

How do you find free writing courses?

I understand what you’re thinking. Where can you go to find these fantastic free courses? After all, you’ll find many things that aren’t free if you Google “free writing courses.” And some of them appear to be worthless in the first place.

Here’s your answer: “Follow some of the best writers, and they will offer free writing courses.”

Top writers, I’ve discovered, give free email writing lessons. When you sign up for their email list, you’ll receive a free email drip course that will teach you how to write.

These free writing courses sent via email are pretty valuable. You may either save the text to your inbox or copy it to a Google Doc for future reference. And, in many cases, they will have additional resources.

How can you get started?

Okay, we know the advantages and where to locate them, but where do you begin? To assist you in getting started, I have enrolled in two courses that have shown to be beneficial to me.

I’m not getting anything in exchange for sharing any of these now. These are some of the best courses I’ve ever done, and they’ve been quite beneficial to me, so I’d want to share them with you.

  1. Tom Kuegler’s Free 5-Day Medium Course. The sign-up form is literally at the top of his blog page, and there are a lot of great tips and ideas for writing on Medium that applies to any platform.
  2. August Birch’s Tribe 1K Course. This email course helps you build your email list. There is a lot of great information here, and it has helped me grow my email list and become a better writer.

These two free writing courses are ideal for those just getting started or who need a refresher on writing online or building an email list. They also direct you to additional excellent resources that you can purchase later.

Final Thoughts on Free Writing Courses

You can only improve your writing skills if you are motivated to study. That means you can learn from anyone. People may try to persuade you not to listen to this person or that person because they are gimmicky or exploiting a circumstance.

I honestly don’t think it makes a difference. If you can learn something new about writing, you will be able to improve. It is up to you to choose whether the knowledge is helpful, but it is always worth going.

Try one of the many free writing courses available today to improve your writing skills.
