Can you believe that the year is coming to a close?!

Sometimes this year felt like it was going on forever. And then other times, it felt like it was taking forever. Yet, here we are at the end of December.

As I look back at this year, I have found myself with three major lessons for writing and self-publishing that I wanted to share with you.

Lessons Learned from 2022

Here are the three quick lessons learned from 2022 that I want to take with me into the new year.

  1. I only have so much time. This means I need to focus on the most important work. And let go of the less important work.
  2. Don’t for get return on investment. I can easily get stuck in idealism. However, with writing and trying to go full time, I have to focus on what returns I am getting.
  3. I am not someone else. So, their success won’t be mine. Their path may not be mine either. Learn from people, don’t try and mimic them.

These are my three quick lessons from 2022. Do any of them resonate with you? Leave a comment if they do!
